Review: Wild Secrets Crave 2 Masturbator

Among the suite of Wild Secrets’ brand of toys is the Crave 2 Masturbator, released earlier this year, and I was sent one to try out.

Let’s start with the outside and move inwards – always a good approach.

The look: What’s on the outside

Looks wise, the Crave 2 is luxe all the way. Wild Secrets has cleverly designed the exterior to resemble a Bluetooth speaker so that if anyone catches a glimpse, or it pops up in the background of a selfie, it won’t look like the saucy device it really is.

In line with this aesthetic, the Crave 2’s matte black casing, subtle buttons and indicators, and burnished gold power button has a minimal and expensive look and feel. It’s, well, sexy.

The feel: the pleasure within

Now we get to the fun part, the interior. And talk about easy access. One of the nicest and horniest parts of the Crave 2 is the way its firm (yet gentle) suction coaxes your cock in with you barely needing to do anything. There’s no hard thrusting required, which is sometimes a factor with masturbators. No, this toy wants you. It means business, and you’ll feel incredibly aroused pretty much from the get-go, even when set to the most straightforward level.

The interior sleeve itself is nicely ribbed and textured, which is only enhanced by using plenty of water-based lube. As soon as my penis made contact with those sweet bumps and ridges, I knew this was going to be fun,

The Crave 2 in action: the motor skills

Like all powered masturbators, the key consideration is how it massages your penis and the Crave 2 does a very impressive job. There are nine various suction and massage modes that are all subtly different – from a setting that starts relatively gentle and pulls your cock in deeper, to another that takes one big ‘gulp’ and holds you firm.

The differences between all nine settings are not entirely huge, but where they can be differentiated is by varying the vibration involved, the second feature of the Crave 2. You can select a constant vibration of varying strengths, or a pulsating sensation, or a mix of both. Trust me, getting to know the various combinations of settings is a great way to spend an afternoon – if you can last that long!

I enjoyed playing around with various positions, such as resting it on my thighs while I sat up in bed, letting the Crave 2 pull me off. I also found it hot to lay it on my bed, and lean over it, letting it milk me. An included wall mount gives you further options for total hands-free fun. Don’t take it in the shower, though – while it is splashproof, it’s not one to submerge in water.

The hard line: What I didn’t like

It’s hard to find many big drawbacks to the Crave 2. However, one factor to consider is its large size. At about 25cm (10″) long it’s not the kind of toy you can easily throw in a drawer or tote around in your travel bag.

And the motor does make telltale buzzing sounds which may be a consideration if you don’t live alone. But it’s not so loud that it can’t be masked by some music or TV. Confession: I actually found the slurping/suction sound it makes when you slide your penis out of the chamber mid wank quite life-like and arousing!

The nuts and bolts: Operating the Crave 2

Wild Secrets have kept operating the Crave 2 relatively simple. Th means you don’t get lost in an instruction manual when you’re ready to go for a ride.

Give it a charge via the USB-C cable to ensure it’s at the maximum level, and you’re good to go. A handy light gauge lets you know the charge level so you can keep an eye on this.

Then you’ve got the two buttons to vary the style and stimulation type, and that’s all.

And cleaning? Straightforward. Simply remove the flexible sleeve from the outer casing, and extract the vibrating bullet from it as you do so. Then give the sleeve a rinse in warm, soapy water – or use a sex toy cleaning spray. Rinse clean, and then allow it to air dry.

The final verdict

Overall, I give the Crave 2 four stars out of five. It may not be the lightest or quietest masturbator on the market, but keeping this beauty by your bed will ensure plenty of penis pleasure.
